Ukraine downs 2 Russian helicopters over its Kherson region

Two Russian helicopters were shot down in Ukraine's Kherson Oblast on March 12, Report informs via UNIAN.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces neutralized the Russian helicopters over the Skadovsk district of the Kherson Oblast in Ukraine's south.

The pilot of one of the helicopters died, and the other was captured alive. The wounded pilot was then taken to hospital.

According to the Ukrainian side, the Ukrainian forces have destroyed more than 140 pieces of Russian aviation equipment.
