The co-chairs of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation - Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Managing Director of Itochu Corporation Hiroyuki Tsubai discussed the implementation of joint projects via videoconference, Report informs.
The parties paid particular attention to the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
They also analyzed the progress of current projects and considered promising areas of cooperation in the oil and gas industry and transport.
In this regard, the successfully implemented projects in Turkmenistan in participation of Japanese companies were highlighted, including the plant for the production of ammonia and carbamide in the city of Mary, a gas chemical complex in the village of Kiyanly, a plant for the production of carbamide in the city of Karabogaz, and the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas (GTG) in the Akhal province of Turkmenistan.
In addition, the parties reviewed the progress of the construction of the modern gas-turbine electric power plant in the Lebap region.
