Turkish leader: Republican People's Party will receive a decent response on May 14

On May 14, the Republican People's Party (CHP) will receive a decent response, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a rally of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) in Istanbul.

The Turkish President said that when he arrived at the rally, he saw a poster that said: "We will give Türkiye what it deserves": "This is a CHP election poster. Which party is now leading the Istanbul Municipality?! CHP. Then why is Istanbul littered with rubbish?! Does Istanbul deserve it?! And now they say they will give Türkiye what it deserves."

According to the Turkish leader, everyone is well aware of the work that the Istanbul Municipality did during AK Parti's tenure: "We solved the problem of drinking water, which is one of the biggest problems in Istanbul, as well as many other issues. Because we love Istanbul. Therefore, at the municipal elections next year, we must save Istanbul from the oppression of the CHP," the head of state said.
