There is no need to rush to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in an interview with NTV.
"We recommend that the world countries not hurry on this issue. We want women to be represented in the new government. We will act according to the conditions and the development of events. The Taliban does not want any foreign troops in the country. After the recent events, we also made our assessments and withdrew our peacekeepers from Afghanistan," he said.
