Turkish envoy to Georgia says South Caucasus needs “good intentions” for coop

"Cooperation between the countries of the South Caucasus requires a lot of efforts, diplomacy, and goodwill," Turkish ambassador to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan said in an interview with Channel One's "Independent View" program, the local bureau of Report informs.

The ambassador believes that for cooperation, each party must make concessions to achieve common benefits: “Some 100 years ago, diplomacy was more realistic, but today it is even more complicated. Because the effects are greater. We must focus on regional priorities."

In Fatma Ceren Yazgan’s opinion, relations based on common interests and involving everyone should be established in the region: "The diplomacy the region requires should be more mutual understanding and respect to the parties."
