Turkish construction companies implemented almost $100B worth of projects in Russia over 50 years

Turkish construction companies have implemented projects worth $97.9 billion in Russia, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency citing the data of the Turkish Ministry of Trade since 1972.

According to statistics, the Russian Federation accounts for 20.3% of all projects of Turkish contractors abroad. In total, as of the end of July this year, Turkish construction companies completed 11,768 projects worth $482 billion in 134 countries during this period.

Second place after Russia is taken by Turkmenistan, where Turkish builders have implemented projects worth $50.8 billion, which is 10.6% of their total volume. The third place is held by Iraq, where the cost of implemented projects is estimated at $33.2 billion. It is followed by Libya and Kazakhstan with projects worth $30.2 billion and $27.9 billion, respectively.

Most of the contracts Turkish builders carry out in the field of housing construction - 13.8%. The construction of roads, tunnels and bridges accounts for 13.6%, energy projects - 8.5%.
