Turkey to lift strict quarantine tomorrow

Turkey will lift the strict quarantine regime as part of measures to combat the coronavirus on May 17.

Report informs that the Turkish Interior Ministry has announced a plan for a gradual normalization in this regard.

According to the information, supermarkets, shops, and grocery stores will be open from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekends. The curfew will last from 21:00 to 05:00 on weekdays. Catering will be available from 07:00 to 20:00 during the week, while online delivery will operate from 20:00 to 00:00. Cafes, teahouses, movie clubs, internet cafes, swimming pools, and gyms will be closed from May 17 to June 1.

Under the phased normalization plan, no street restrictions will be imposed on people above 65, who received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and those under 18 years of age. According to the plan, long-distance travel will be possible when 'stay at home' restrictions are not applied.
