"Events in Kazakhstan are an attempt at a coup. The main goal of the terrorists was to usurp power," Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said at a video conference summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Stressing that Kazakhstan is going through the worst crisis in the history of independence, Tokayev thanked the Presidents of Russia and Belarus for their assistance.
