Tehran to host int’l chess tournament dedicated to Heydar Aliyev’s birthday

On the occasion of the 99th birth anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, an international chess tournament will be held on May 10 under the organization of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran with the participation of diplomatic missions in Tehran, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran.

The chess tournament will be held according to the Swiss system, the winners of the competition will be awarded special prizes.

The tournament will be attended by employees of the United Nations Office in Iran, the headquarters of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran, diplomats from Turkiye, Poland, France, Hungary, Russia, Kenya, the Philippines and other countries working in embassies in Iran.
