Special operation underway in Azerbaijani settlement of Tbilisi- UPDATED

Georgian police have detained three people during a special operation in the Ponichala (Soghanlig) settlement of Tbilisi, the local Bureau of Report informs, citing the Georgian Interior Ministry.

They are accused of illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of large quantities of drugs.

The investigation revealed that the arrested also involved juveniles in the crime. Social Service employees were also dispatched to protect the interests of the teenager.

Detainees face between eight and 20 years in prison or life in prison.

Police are conducting a special operation in the settlement of Ponichala (Soqanliq) near the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The local Bureau of Report informs that a network selling large quantities of drugs has been exposed during the raid.

According to local media, the detainees are members of the same family, including children.

The authorities will issue official information to the public.
