Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey to discuss situation in South Caucasus

Baku. 7 March. REPORT.AZ/ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkish city of Antalya on March 12-13 to attend the 7th meeting of the Russia-Turkey joint strategic planning group chaired by foreign ministers of two countries, Foreign Ministry's Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at the briefing.

According to her, this group operates within the framework of the High Level Cooperation Council headed by the presidents of Turkey and Russia.

"A detailed reconciliation of hours on all issues on the bilateral agenda is planned in the context of preparations for the next meeting of the leaders of our countries and the upcoming meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council," Zakharova stressed.

She stressed that along with discussing the development of political and economic cooperation, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey intend to hold an in-depth exchange of views on a wide range of international and regional problems, including the Syrian settlement, cooperation in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, the situation in the Middle East, North Africa, the South Caucasus, the situation in Ukraine and the Black Sea.
