"There was a bombardment with cluster munitions. They targeted two residential areas - Solyani and Pivnichnyy (Northern). Shells hit a children's playground and private houses. There are 13 wounded, seven of them are in intensive care, nine died," Senkevych said.
According to the mayor, the power supply was cut off in the areas affected by the bombing, as the substation was destroyed and there were problems with high-voltage lines. Currently, electricity is being restored by utility operators.
Senkevych added that the city was shelled from a distance of 30-50 km.
