Russian official accuses Macron of hypocrisy

Aleksey Pushkov, the chairman of the Commission on Information Policy of the Russian Federation Council, accused French President Emmanuel Macron of hypocrisy, comenting on his words that Paris is not at war with Russia, Report informs.

“Macron’s demagoguery is hollow and hypocritical. Most importantly, it does not change the essence of the matter. If he sends his military to fight Russia, he will turn France into a country fighting against Russia and its people,” he said on Telegram.

At the same time, Pushkov stressed that, according to Chinese sources, French troops have already been sent to Ukraine.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, emphasized that the French President’s statement that his country isn’t at war with Russia contradicts the real situation.
