Russian foreign minister to attend CSTO Council's ministerial meeting in Yerevan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Armenia to participate in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO countries, Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.

"On June 10, in Yerevan, the Russian Foreign Minister will take part in the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO," Zakharova said.

She recalled that Armenia is chairing the CSTO this year. The meeting participants will sum up the results of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the CSTO and discuss the prospects for further cooperation.

According to Zakharova, a plan of consultations on foreign policy, defense, and security issues for 2022-2024 is expected to be signed.
