Russia's contribution to the UN regular budget in 2021 will amount to $70 million, said Dmitry Chumakov, deputy permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Report informs.
He said that Russia regularly pays its contributions to the UN regular budget and the peacekeeping budget, as well as voluntary contributions.
"I will start with a general figure called official development assistance - it is about one billion dollars annually, but this is cumulative, not only through the UN, but also through bilateral channels. The UN regular budget is about $3 billion, and our contribution this year is $70 million. We are preparing to pay it off. Last year, despite the pandemic, we paid our contribution to the regular budget - it was a little less, $66 million," Chumakov said.
