Russia says coronavirus cases increase among children

Two children died of coronavirus during the pandemic in Russia, while the state of 11 is critical, Report says, citing Interfax.

The ministry said the number of positive cases increased among children, while did not provide detailed information.

"Although the infection is not as common in children as in adults, the virus is just as dangerous for them."

The ministry advised people not to go for walks or visit public places with children, inasmuch as coronavirus can be transmitted without any symptom.

According to the official data, so far, 114,431 people have contracted the coronavirus in Russia, resulting in 13,220 recoveries, and 1,169 deaths.

Russia is now the eighth most-affected country after Turkey in terms of infections.
