Russia's COVID tally nears 10.2 million

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 27,434 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 10,186,823.
To date, a total of 296,180 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 1,076 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 8,952,266.
Currently, there are 938,377 active cases in the country.
More than 274.02 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 5.36 million lives, though unable to cope with 246.01 million patients, who managed to recover.
