Russia's COVID tally exceeds 6.9M

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 17,813 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 6,918,965.
To date, a total of 183,224 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 795 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 6,181,054.
More than 217.9 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 4.52 million lives, though unable to cope with 194.89 million patients, who managed to recover.
