Russia's COVID tally exceeds 4.9 million

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 8,380 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 4,913,439.
Currently, 270,838 Russians are undergoing treatment to beat the viral disease.
To date, a total of 114,723 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 392 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 4,527,878.
More than 161.1 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 3.34 million lives, though unable to cope with 138.9 million patients, who managed to recover.
