Russia's COVID tally exceeds 10,000,000

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 29,929 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 10,016,896.

To date, a total of 289,483 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 1,132 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 8,741,355.

Currently, there are over 900,000 active cases in the country.

More than 270 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 5.31 million lives, though unable to cope with 242.79 million patients, who managed to recover.
