Russia's COVID death toll passes 340,000

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 197,949 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 14,133,509.
To date, a total of 340,248 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 706 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 11,235,859.
Currently, there are over 2.557,000 active cases in the country.
More than 411 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 5.83 million lives, though unable to cope with 331.2 million patients, who managed to recover.
