Russia records over 8,400 COVID cases per day

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 8,446 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country has reached 18,137,137 since the pandemic onset.

To date, a total of 374,902 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 168 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 17,474,628.

More than 509.27 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 6.24 million lives, though unable to cope with 461.83 million patients, who managed to recover.
