The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 1,002 per day against 999 the day before, to 222,315, reaching an all-time high throughout the pandemic, the federal operational headquarters for combating the disease said on Saturday.

Report informs citing TASS that conditional mortality (the final one can be determined only after the end of the epidemic) remained at the level of 2.79%.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Russia increased by 33,208 in one day, to 7,958,384.

The number of so-called active cases, that is, patients who are being treated at the moment increased to 754,162.

The number of Russians who recovered from the coronavirus increased by 21,883 per day, to 6,981,907. The proportion of discharged patients, according to the headquarters, dropped to 87.7% of the total number of those infected.
