Russian Railways has begun testing artificial intelligence trains, Report says, citing TASS.
For the first time, this innovation is designed to minimize the number of accidents due to human factors globally.
According to the agency, the company has already created ten experienced locomotives. These engines can detect objects on the railway with the help of technical vision. The complex will assess the situation using artificial intelligence, give danger warning signals to the driver, and make the necessary decisions in the absence of his reaction.
Completion of testing and obtaining a permit for industrial production is scheduled for autumn 2020.
