Russia is banishing diplomats of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in a tit-for-tat measure, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Report informs, citing TASS, that the ministry expressed a strong protest to the ambassador of the Baltic states over the provocative expulsion of Russian diplomats.
Two employees of the Lithuanian embassy and one from each of the embassies of Latvia and Estonia have to leave Russia within seven days.
Russia has also blacklisted three employees of the Slovakian embassy as a retaliatory measure. They will have to leave the country until May 5. The Slovakian ambassador was notified that the expulsion of Russian diplomats undermines bilateral ties.
