There is still the probability of the fourth wave of coronavirus spread in Iran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday, Report informs, citing TASS.
"The threat of the fourth wave is not eliminated yet, and it remains possible. Until now, we have been careful to avoid a new wave, but at any moment, this threat may materialize," he said in his televised speech.
The president added that Iran would increase the rate of vaccinations this week and the week ahead.
On December 17, 2020, Rouhani said that Iran overcame the third wave of the coronavirus spread in the country.
