RES2026 adopts regional action program for 2026–2030

At the Regional Ecological Summit (RES2026) held in Astana, Kazakhstan, participants adopted a joint declaration along with a regional action program covering the years 2026–2030, Report informs, citing the press service of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon.

The program emphasizes the importance of developing renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and building a low-carbon economy. Rahmon highlighted priorities such as attracting ecological investments and introducing market mechanisms, including the issuance of green bonds.

In his closing remarks, Rahmon invited participants to attend an international conference dedicated to the implementation of the "Water for Sustainable Development" goals, which will be held in May in Dushanbe.
