Baku. 18 December. REPORT.AZ / The latest weapons, which ensured Russia's security for decades ahead, will challenge the minds of those who are accustomed to a bellicose rhetoric,  Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Report informs citing TASS that he spoke at the expanded Board of the Ministry of Defense.

"Serious, breakthrough steps have been taken in the development of the latest, unparalleled weapons, that were mentioned in the message to the Federal Assembly on March 1 this year," the head of state said. "I hope our new systems will challenge the minds of those who are accustomed to a bellicose and aggressive rhetoric."

The head of state stressed the launch of the serial production of the "Avangard" missile complex, successful testing of "Sarmatian", successful execution of experienced combat-related duty of hypersonic air-to-surface complex "Dagger", as well as development of  the practical application of combat laser systems "Peresvet". Putin stressed that 'this weapon multiplies the potential of the army and Navy several times", thereby "reliably and unconditionally ensuring the security of Russia for the decades ahead." He noted that these developments also strengthen the balance of power, and therefore the stability in the world.
