Putin extends condolences to Syria's Assad

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad in a phone call.

Report informs via the Russian media that the Russian leader offered assistance to the quake-affected country in eliminating the consequences of the natural calamity.

Putin said said the Russian rescuers will leave for Syria in the coming hours.
