Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran.
Report informs via TASS that the ceremony took place following negotiations in the Kremlin.
The document is intended to elevate Moscow-Tehran relations to a new level: it establishes their status as strategic partners. The agreement also sets the legal framework for further development of cooperation in the long term.
According to officials from both countries, the agreement covers all areas, including defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, transport, industry, agriculture, culture, science, and technology.
