Prime Minister: "Georgia will take important democracy test with Presidential Elections"

Tbilisi. 25 October. REPORT.AZ/ “Georgia will take important democracy test with Presidential Elections," Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said at a briefing today.

According to Report's local bureau, he said that in a couple of days Georgia will have a very important and responsible day:

"Presidential elections will be held in the country. I urge all our citizens to go to the elections and make their choice. Georgia will take more democratic tests with these elections and I believe that every citizen will pass this test in a worthy way for the country. I am convinced that on October 28 there will be another victory of democracy in Georgia. "

Bakhtadze noted that the Georgian government has done everything to ensure free, transparent and democratic elections: “But at the same time, I would like to note that the fulfillment of the public demand to hold European-style pre-election campaign was not possible due to the destructive rhetoric of some political forces. We will not allow any irresponsible political force to create dissonance in the electoral process. During the pre-election period, all political entities were provided with equal and competitive conditions. I am sure that every voter will have an opportunity to make a free choice. "
