Presidents of Russia and Tajikistan, Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon, respectively, have held a telephone conversation.
Report informs, citing the Kremlin's press service, that they discussed some issues related to the situation in Kazakhstan during the phone call. They noted the timeliness and effectiveness of assistance, provided by the CSTO at the request of the Kazakhstani leadership.
They also touched upon the problem of Afghanistan, particularly the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border.
