Photos from Ukraine’s Donbas, where fierce fighting underway

The recent intensification of hostilities in the Donetsk region of Ukraine has turned all the cities and villages of the region into a battlefield.

Active attacks by the Russian army were repulsed by the Ukrainian army, intense artillery strikes led to serious damage and the complete destruction of engineering communications in Lyman, Kostiantynivka, Chasiv Yar and other cities in the region. Some 80 percent of Lyman’s population fled their homes.
