Russian President's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that his son Nikolai really served in Ukraine.
According to Report's Russian bureau, to the question why his son served with Wagner and did not opt for the Russian armed forces, Peskov told reporters that his son once served in the Russian army.
"He fulfilled his constitutional duty. Then he took such a decision. He has already come of age. Yes, he really took part in the special military operation. I don't want to say more, as it has nothing to do with my job," Peskov said.
The Wagner chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said on Friday that the Kremlin spokesperson’s son had served as a gunner with PMC Wagner.
According to Prigozhin, Nikolai Peskov served in PMC Wagner for six months, working as a loader of an ammunition supply vehicle.
