Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan left the city of Agarak in the country's south after hundreds of residents staged a protest against his trip to the area, Report informs, citing TASS.

"I apologize for their behavior," Pashinyan said, speaking through the megaphone, walked dozens of meters, boarded a car, and left.

Participants of the protests in the Syunik region of Armenia who oppose Pashinyan's visit to the area earlier blocked the street for the prime minister's motorcade. The action participants chanted slogans, accusing the PM of betrayal, and occasionally clashed with the police.
