Over 1,200 people die of COVID-19 across Russia per day

The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia per day has increased by 33,389 to 9,703,107, Report informs, citing the Operational Headquarters for Combating the Spread of Coronavirus.

"Over the past 24 hours, Russia confirmed 33,389 COVID-19 cases in 85 regions, including 2,442 (7.3%) active cases detected without clinical manifestations," the message reads.

Throughout the pandemic, 9,703,107 coronavirus cases were registered in the country. The growth rate has totaled 0.35%. The number of deaths has amounted to 1,221, taking the overall death toll caused by coronavirus to 277,640 people since the pandemic began.

During the day, 35,185 people recovered with the total number of recoveries reaching 8,400,117 people.
