Number of confirmed COVID-19 cases grow to 329 in Armenia

On 1 March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have spread in Armenia.

On 16 March, Government declared a state of emergency lasting until 14 April to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The emergency measures include the closure of all educational institutions, closing the borders with Georgia and Iran, banning gatherings with over 20 people.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Armenia has reached 329 over the past day, Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.

According to the website of the National Centre of Disease Control and Prevention, Ministry of Health of Armenia, the country has confirmed 329 cases of COVID-19 infection. Eighteen patients have recovered. One person died.

According to the Health Ministry, 311 people receive treatment, while 1,625 tested negative for coronavirus.
