Next session of Council of CIS heads of state due in Nur-Sultan

The next session of the Council of CIS Heads of State will take place on October 14, 2022, in the capital of Kazakhstan, chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev told reporters following the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State.

Report informs, citing TASS, that he did not rule out that informal meetings of the heads of the CIS states could take place before the summit in Nur-Sultan.

"Today, this is hampered by a pandemic, but we all really hope that in the end, we will be able to overcome this disease and return to the situation where we can meet face to face. If there is such an opportunity, I am deeply convinced that informal meetings of the heads of the CIS states will follow," he said.
