Coronavirus latest: Nearly 5 thousand people die in Iran

COVID-19 claimed lives 89 more people in Iran, Report says, citing IRNA.

According to the Health Ministry of Iran Kianoush Jahanpour, thus Iran's death toll from the new coronavirus rose by 89 in the past 24 hours to reach 4,958.

He noted that, 1,499 people tested positive for COVID-19, the total number of cases of infection reached 79,494.

Jahanpour also stated that 54,064 people recovered and discharged from hospitals.
