MP: Turkiye, Georgia and Azerbaijan should increase cooperation in combating terrorism

Turkiye, Georgia, and Azerbaijan must increase cooperation in the fight against terrorism, Halil Etyemez, head of the friendship group with the Georgian parliament in the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye (GANT), said during a video conference with his Georgian counterpart Beka Odisharia.

"In this regard, we must use the format of trilateral cooperation," he said.

According to him, the trilateral cooperation format allows for boosting bilateral collaboration between Turkiye and Georgia in the trade and economic sphere.

The MP also noted the importance of using the trilateral cooperation format to successfully implement regional mega-projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project and the Silk Road.

Odisharia, in turn, stressed Turkiye's special role in the economic strengthening of Georgia. He said Turkiye was Georgia's main strategic partner and special friend.

The MP invited his Turkish counterpart to visit Georgia.
