Minister: Turkiye expects progress in evacuation of its citizens from Ukraine

“Our contacts with the Russian and Ukrainian defense ministers continue,” Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said, Report informs.

According to him, Turkiye is doing its best for the safe evacuation of its citizens from Ukraine.

“We expect progress in this regard in the coming days. The humanitarian situation in Ukraine has recently deteriorated. Part of the territory is controlled by Russia and part by Ukraine. We have made all necessary preparations to evacuate civilians. As a result, we strive to do what is needed from a humanitarian point of view,” the minister said.
