The delegations of Armenia and Armenia have arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry's Reception House in Moscow for the first meeting of the special envoys of the two countries on normalizing bilateral relations, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
Armenia is represented by the deputy speaker of parliament Ruben Rubinyan and Turkey is represented by former Ambassador to the United States Serdar Kilic.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in December that the parties would soon appoint special envoys, and open charter flights with Yerevan in order to normalize relations with Armenia. The minister noted that Ankara was considering the applications of Turkish and Armenian airlines for Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul flights. Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu said that the Turkish airline Pegasus would start operating flights between Istanbul and Yerevan in the coming days.
