Matthew Bryza: “Georgia comprehends importance of economic partnership with Azerbaijan”

"Relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan should be good," Former US ambassador to Azerbaijan and former co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza told Georgian bureau of Report commenting on the impact of the new Georgian government on the country's relations with Azerbaijan.

He said that the Georgian government understands the importance of economic partnership with Azerbaijan: “The United States is doing everything possible to establish cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan in line with its strategy for decades. The leaders of both countries understand and agree. At the same time, Turkey strongly supports Georgia's integration with NATO. Turkey is Azerbaijan's biggest friend in the world. These all are of strategic importance.”
