Under the decision of the Georgian government, the municipality of the Marneuli district, predominantly populated by Azerbaijanis, has been allowed to fund infrastructure projects, Report's local bureau informs, citing the Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

The municipality will implement the projects at the expense of the budget remaining from previous years.

The funds will be used to build playgrounds in Marneuli, Azizkend, and Tserakvi villages. About 2,700 residents of Marneuli can use these playgrounds.

The project also envisages the construction of a water well in Burma, Marneuli.
