Magnitude-5 quake shakes Turkmenistan

A magnitude-5 earthquake occurred in Turkmenistan at around 05:37 local time on August 16, European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said, Report informs.
The epicenter was about 52 km north of Turkmenbasy and 272 northeast of Baku. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 47 km. There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
