Magnitude 4.8 earthquake shakes Iran

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has hit near the Kish island in the south of Iran, Report informs, citing the US Geological Survey (USGS).
Thus, the epicenter of the natural calamity fixed at 05.25 local time (05.55 Baku time) was at a depth of 13.7 km.
The tremors were recorded 28 kilometers northeast of the peninsula.
