Russian intelligence services are already investigating whether Western intelligence services were involved in the events of June 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with RT.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that US Ambassador Lynn Tracy contacted Russian representatives over the events in Russia. According to him, she signalized to Russian officials that Washington had nothing to do with the rebellion and hoped for the safety of nuclear weapons.
“By the way, when the United States Ambassador Tracy spoke with Russian representatives yesterday, [she] sent signals. These signals, probably, are not secret, they consisted primarily in that the United States had nothing to do with it, that the United States very much hopes that nuclear weapons will be in order and that American diplomats will not be harmed," he said.
