Lavrov: Moscow has no relations with EU as organization

The entire infrastructure of relations with the EU was destroyed by the unilateral actions of Brussels, so now Moscow has no relations with the organization, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Report informs referring to TASS.

“There are no relations with the European Union as an organization. The entire infrastructure of these relations has been destroyed by the unilateral decisions of Brussels,” he said.

He noted that Russia will be ready for contacts to increase interaction with the EU when Brussels deems it necessary to eliminate the anomaly in bilateral relations.

“If and when the Europeans find it expedient to eliminate this anomaly in contacts with their largest neighbor, of course, we will be ready to build up these relations on the basis of equality, based on the search for balances of interests. For now, we have no changes in the West, while in the East, in my opinion, we have a very intensive agenda, which is getting busier every year,” the minister said.
