The Kyrgyz Republic will hold repeat parliamentary elections this autumn, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said in an interview with Kazinform.
According to him, the parliamentary elections in October 2020 were unfair:
"Local elections will take place soon. The planned referendum will also be fair. The law should be the same for everyone, from the president to the peasant holding a hoe. We are currently establishing the rule of law and justice. Of course, it is impossible to do this in one year. It takes 2-3 years to rectify the situation."
