Kyrgyzstan has begun evacuating its citizens from Kazakhstan, Report informs with reference to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.

"Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carries out the evacuation of Kyrgyzstan citizens through the checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border in the framework of consular and legal assistance to compatriots," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, the border checkpoints are currently working, and in case of necessity, Kyrgyz citizens wishing to return home, can cross the border without hesitation.

The Department of the Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Kazakhstan and the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty have a hotline for consular and legal assistance.

The ministry also called on Kyrgyzstan citizens in Kazakhstan to "observe the law and the rules of stay in the country, not to provoke, not to participate in any conflicts, not to go to public places."
